TampCamp is elevating the skills and palettes of baristas, entrepreneurs, and individuals seeking to promote personal or professional growth through expert barista training and courses designed to enhance the coffee preparation of skills of coffee professionals. Since launching TampCamp in March 2009, our instructors have logged hundreds of hours training business owners, barista trainers, counter baristas and aficionados. All have left satisfied and confident that they have learned both critical coffee and espresso information and tools that allow them flexibility in their own espresso environments. Because our company is 100% independent, we offer an unbiased approach to learning and using coffees from different specialty roasters. In addition, our independence provides a flexible approach from skills our instructors have learned from fellow trainers, competitions, and roasting companies all over the country. TampCamp offers the most thorough, detailed, and comprehensive coffee-oriented professional development curriculum in the Northeast and are conveniently located both in Lower Manhattan in New York City and outside of Boston, MA at the Coffee Solutions lab in Hopedale, MA.

TampTamp is happy to schedule private barista trainings for new or existing coffee businesses interested in pursuing our offered coursework, or custom coursework, outside of our publicly scheduled times.

Home Barista Fundamentals

Are you ready to take your home espresso techniques to the next level? TampTamp Inc. now offers a course tailored for home baristas looking for expert advice on exactly what they need: how to prepare espresso and steam milk for home use. TampTamp Home Barista Fundamentals ($235, 4 hour course) Be able to taste for ideal espresso extractions, as well as over- and under-extracted espressos List and perform the steps necessary for espresso extraction Steam milk for proper texture (Latte Art will also be covered) August 27th, 4:00pm September 24th, 4:00pm October 22nd, 4:00pm November 26th, 4:00pm December 31st, 4:00pm The Home Barista Fundamentals class is intended for home baristas only and is not intended for professionals. Class size is limited to 5 individuals.

We also offer gift certificates to TampCamp courses in any amount. If you would like, we will also mail a card certificate to the recipient.

TampCamp asks that classes be arranged and paid for at least two weeks prior to the beginning of class. While we will try to work with your situation, TampTamp cannot give refunds within 2 weeks of the start of the TampCamp course. Outside of two weeks, TampTamp will allow rescheduling the course, or can offer a refund if a conclusion cannot be reached. Not showing up to a class will result in forfeit of the cost of the class.
