TampTamp’s purpose is to empower coffee people whose passionate ideas will advance the specialty coffee industry.
TampTamp Inc. launched in 2008 in order to serve the needs of the coffee community and cafes-to-be in New York City. Founder Anne Nylander saw the need for several services for cafes current and future. TampTamp Inc. aids in creating solutions for companies and providing education for professionals and enthusiasts. Now TampTamp has worked with dozens of cafes, baristas, and coffee enthusiasts, all focused on improving coffee in one way or another. The services of the company, particularly TempTamp, are well known throughout the NYC specialty coffee community.

In addition, TampTamp staff and temporary baristas are very involved in non-commercial barista events, from public cuppings, throwdowns, and informal jams, to barista competitions, conferences, and workshops. These events lead to a greater reach of the coffee community, with a greater understanding of the work involved to bring the highest quality coffees to the consumer. Anne Nylander, is Founder and President of TampTamp Inc., a coffee-services company in New York City founded in 2008. The Seattle native’s lifelong passion for coffee bloomed into a career after leaving retail management in 2006. Anne began her coffee career at Joe the Art of Coffee in 2006, managing their 13th St. location until leaving to help open another store. Recognizing a need to support entrepreneurs in the rapidly specialty coffee industry, Anne founded TampTamp Inc to build and foster excellent coffee programs in the Northeast region. Now Anne frequently travels the world to both learn and share coffee knowledge. Along with the work at TampTamp, leading dozens of coffee-focused lectures, seminars, and workshops, Anne leads the New York Coffee Society, and serves on the Barista Guild of America Executive Council, two volunteer-based organizations focused on elevating appreciation for coffee and the barista craft. Anne is also a 2009 SCAA Credentialed Lead Instructor, a 2009 BGA Certification Examiner, a 2008-2009 USBC Certified Judge, and a 2009 Canadian Barista Championship Certified Judge. |

Neil Oney, Vice President. Neil Oney officially began his coffee career in 2008, although he had traveled extensively from one coffee event to another with Nylander in the preceding years. Neil has worked as a temporary barista at dozens of cafes in the region, and brings his knowledge to clients and students throughout the Northeast. Neil is an SCAA Credentialed Lead Instructor, Canadian Barista Championship certified judge and recent 8th place finisher in the North East Regional Barista Competition. He designs curriculum for TampCamp and the Barista Guild of America. His focus for Coffee Planners clients lies in business planning and layout and design, as well as finding new and interesting ways to make coffee better. |

Sarah Leslie joins TampTamp Inc. as their Director of Office Relations. Sarah has been a barista in New York City for five years. Most recently, she was an assistant manager for Think Coffee at their 4th Avenue location. Sarah also competed for the first time in at the Northeast Regional Barista Competition. She is also a BGA Level 1 Certified barista. Sarah looks forward to continuing to perfect her skills as a barista at TampTamp Inc. She also is looking forward to meeting lots of coffee people in NYC and around the globe because coffee people are pretty great! |
